    Two measurements, thirty seconds.

    Where to measure: around the head just in front of the ears, and around the neck where the collar sits
    1. Head. Soft tape around the widest part, right in front of the ears. Snug.
    2. Neck. Where you’d like the collar to sit.
    3. Go by the bigger number. That’s the size.

    XXS is our shortest run — fewer beads, same tag and the same two charms.

    Between two sizes? Take the larger. The cord adjusts within each size, and the beads sit loose like a necklace.

    Breed and weight don’t decide it — a 50-lb poodle can be an S. The number does. No tape? Use a string, then hold it to a ruler.

    Materials & sizing

    A beaded collar that doubles as an ID tag. Your pet's name rides up front where everyone can see it; your phone number sits on the back where it matters. Strung by hand, bead by bead.

    What it's made of

    • Paracord cord with sliding knots — adjustable, no hardware
    • Acrylic and glass beads, roughly 20 per collar
    • Two charms on openable jump rings — removable and swappable
    • Resin bone tag, poured and printed in our studio — name on the front, your phone number (or any 12 characters) on the back
    • Light enough to wear all day, on its own or over the everyday collar

    Finding the size — measure the head just in front of the ears and the neck, then go by the bigger number — the collar has to slip over the head.

    Nothing sits on a shelf waiting. Your collar is strung after you order, which takes 3–5 business days (up to 10 in busy season), and then it ships.

    USPS with tracking — usually 2–5 business days in the U.S., free on U.S. orders over $60. We also ship to Canada, Australia and New Zealand: pick a live carrier rate at checkout, allow 1–4 weeks in transit, and note that import fees may be charged on delivery.

    Returns
    Each collar carries your pet's name and your number, so it can't go back on the shelf — personalized orders are final sale. If the name came out wrong on our end or you received the wrong item, write to us within 7 days of delivery and we'll remake it, no charge. Lost or damaged on the way?     We take your dog's safety seriously — a few quick rules:

    • Jewelry, not a collar. Never clip a leash to it.
    • Not a toy. Every bead and charm is secured tight, but they're small parts — supervised wear only.
    • Off when alone. Remove it when your dog is unattended, sleeping, or swimming.
    • Adult dogs first. Best for grown, accessory-trained dogs. Introduce puppies gradually — and never leave them alone with it.

    Metal tags get scratched, and the phone number wears away right when someone needs to read it. On ours, the name and number sit under the resin, not on top of it. We set them on by hand, pour a clear dome over them and let it cure, so there's nothing on the surface to rub off.

    It all startedwith Nika.

    This is Nika, our toy poodle, on her favourite beach in California. She started BEADBOO without knowing it — she changes outfits almost daily, and no collar we could buy ever matched any of them. So one night we bought a bag of beads and made one ourselves.

    The first try came out crooked. The second one we loved, and that's Berry Blush, style number one. Everything is still strung by hand in our little California studio, and Nika still gets to try it on first.

    Before you ask

    How do I pick the right size?
    Measure the head just in front of the ears and the neck, then go by the bigger number — the collar has to slip over the head. The cord adjusts within each size, so if you're between two, take the larger. The size guide walks you through it.
    How long does it take to make?
    Every BEADBOO is handmade to order. We bead, seal and quality-check your collar in 3–5 business days (up to 10 during busy season), then ship it with tracking. Total: usually 5–12 days door to door.
    How much is shipping?
    U.S. orders ship with tracking and are free over $60. We also ship to Canada, Australia and New Zealand: you'll see live carrier rates at checkout and choose the one you want. Free shipping applies to U.S. orders only, and international orders may be charged import fees on delivery.
    Will the name or number wear off?
    No. Stamped metal tags scratch, and the number slowly wears smooth — that's why we don't use them. Your dog's name and your number are set on by hand and sealed under a clear resin dome, so everyday rubbing never reaches the letters. To keep the dome glossy, wipe it with a damp cloth and take the collar off for baths and swimming.
    How do I care for it?
    Wipe with a soft, damp cloth — that's it. No soaking. Take it off for baths, swimming and rough play.
    Can I swap the charms?
    Yes! Both charms sit on tiny split rings, so you can change them any time. Grab tweezers and follow our 30-second guide: How to swap charms. Every charm in the shop fits the same rings.
    Is it safe for my dog?
    Yes. Dog-safe, non-toxic acrylic beads, a strong 550-paracord core with sealed knots, and sturdy hardware. It's jewelry, but it's built like gear. Still, it's jewelry and not a walking collar — never clip a leash to it, and take it off when your dog is home alone, sleeping or swimming.
